  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Well, now there's a new problem with Blue Link, at least with my car. I am no longer receiving the monthly vehicle report even though my service is current and active. I have already called and was told that the issue would have to be escalated to technicians. That was several days ago and I have yet to receive any kind of follow-up, and I have yet to receive the current monthly report (due on the 1st of each month).

Considering the first failure (http://genesisowners.com/hyundai-genesis-forum/showthread.php?t=12776) that even impacted the SOS function, and now this failure, I am beginning to think that Hyundai hasn't quite figured out how to provide reliable services such as this. Looks like I won't be renewing my subscription when the time comes.

Anyone else missing their current monthly report? Does anyone else even have (or use) Blue Link?

1year of ownership and never had any issues with Blue Link.

Interesting. So you received your latest report, or is it too early in the month for yours?

Ok, well then...

I just received a phone call from Hyundai Blue Link. They asked if I have received my latest report. My answer is still "no" unfortunately. The rep I spoke to said he was going to continue to research the issue, but that likely what happened is the servers that pinged the car for data were unable to reach the car. As a result: no report for March.

I realize that the monthly report isn't the biggest deal, but I'm looking at this from the perspective that (1) Hyundai wants me to pay for this service, and (2) they are providing a service that adds value to the vehicle and influenced my decision to purchase the vehicle. For Blue Link to fail twice for me in two months is shoddy. To say that the system is designed to give up so easily if it can't reach the car to collect data is also shoddy.

Sigh. I regret more and more the decision to move from my 2011 to this 2013. Just to be clear: there are other issues with the 2013 beyond the flakey Blue Link service, but that's another rant for another time.
