  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The salesman and I attempted to register my Genesis on the MyHyundai.com website on the computer at the dealer without success. We then sat in the car and the salesman called the BlueLink dealer line, explained the problem, and gave the person on the other end the VIN. He was told that it was registered.

Today, I logged on and there is no trace of my vehicle being registered. If I enter the VIN, I get a big red message that it can only be done at the dealer.

Unfortunately, the dealer is 40 miles away. There are two closer dealers (none real close), but I can hardly ask them to register the Blue Link for me.

I hope I can solve this without an 80 mile round trip..

goto the close dealership cuz the one thats 40 away can even perfom this simple task. it took my salesperson 10min to hook it up.

p.s you can get service from all hyundai service centers.

I set up a temporary password for my myhyundai.com account for the salesman and he managed, with a few phone calls, to get me on to Blue Link. Apparently, the fact that I had previously registered my 2009 caused problems in the registration process. Probably something the programmer did not account for.

Anyway, blueLink is now up and working just fine.

That is great news. Thanks for following back up with us. Question. Have you tried the auto-start function yet? Does the flashers flash until you get to the car? I heard that was the case with the old version Genesis.

I currently do not own a capable phone to try the auto-start. I may change that later.

Yes they do. But only if you get to the car within 10 minutes. Longer, and the car shuts off.
