  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Can someone please confirm: can blue link start the 2013 rspec sedan remotely with the a/c set to full blast cold in order to pre-cool the car? Black seats suck in Florida LOL. Thanks!!!

Not sure about the 2013, maybe on the 2014? I do know the new Santa Fe you can do so much s*** by phone....i kind of want it lol

Yes; all '13 Gens come with Bluelink, and can be started remotely (as well as locked, unlocked, turn-on lights, and honk the horn -via iPhone or Android). If the car's HVAC is left on "auto", it will cool down (or heat up) to the set temp whether started remotely or in person. Now they just need to work on making it so the car comes and picks you up!

BTW, my car came with a 6 month Bluelink trial, after that there are several options for continuing the service at various levels (longer subscriptions decrease the monthly cost). Anyone who's curious to take a look at Bluelink can download the app and run it in an included demo mode.

Thanks so much for that answer! I plan to reserve the car today.

Getting a good quality ceramic tint job will help keep the car cool. Formula One Pinnacle is an example of a tint film that I am talking about. Whenever I have to park outdoors for long periods, I use a reflective sun visor on the windshield (which cannot be legally tinted beyond the factory tint).

I can easily start the car remotely using blue link in my iPhone.

I am in the process of trading my 2009 in for a 2013 with Tech pkg. I have a question on Bluelink. I know you can start the car remotely with phone. It will also heat or cool car if you have turned on.
In the winter and the car is frosted up, will the rear defogger turn on and will the heater set automatically to the windshield...that would sure be sweet ???
Thanks for info.

When using the bluelink, it will only run the climate control as you left it when turning off the car. I can try the defrosters and see, but I think the reset when turning the car off, which would not turn them back on. Only a/c and heat.

Thanks,

I didn't think it would. But it would be nice if it would. I guess if I turn the heat on high before turning off it would defrost windows. I garage car at home but at work and on trips that is another matter.

How is the iPod integration with Blu-link? Can you search by song name (preferably by voice)? How easy is it to enter a navigation address? I'm so spoiled by Android and how easy it is to navigate somewhere (just touch "voice commands" or "voice search" and say , "Navigate to 1410 S. Museum Campus Drive, Chicago."
