Blue mood lighting automatic?

Just wondering when I have the mood lighting on in the car. Will it automatically turn off when Ihave the car off?

My Veracruz had mood lighting but as far as I know the North American version Genesis never had this feature. Are you referring to the bluish colored dome light?

There is a mood button in my car? ill take pics or vid later.. dont know. but hey the mood button could just turn on the dome light.. if we dont have that feature I dont know

I believe this is a feature in the Korean version of the Genesis (and perhaps other versions) but I wasn't aware of it being available in the N.A. versions. Where did you acquire this Genesis? Could it have been a pre-production or pre-launch demo?

mines a 2010 I just bought it a week ago... it looks very very nice at night everyone gives me compliments when they are in the car. Had 10 miles on it bought in the US where I live

Interesting... Mine is a 2010 that I bought about a month ago and it does not have mood lighting. Looks nice indeed.

The mood light switch that you refer to is the exact same switch located on the overhead console of my 2010 Genny 4.6 but on mine it is labeled "Door".

Wow, these minor, but significant enough changes are being made without a notice WITHIN the same model year?
I wonder if the head console could be acquired and just work as plug-and-play.
I want one.

I may add the new overhead console as well as I have blue footwell LED's- looks nice. Only question is how the DOOR switch will work now that it is replaced with MOOD

Good question.

Where can you buy the overhead console?
Dealer? I bet it'll be pretty expensive to go through that route.
I had to replace a OHC on a Caddy DTS, and it was close to $500 with all the parts.
