Blue Tooth Connection Issue

I have a 2009 4.6 w/Tech Package that I recently acquired as a demo unit. Everything works great except when I hangup from a call when using the bluetooth feature, the system thinks the phone is still connected and does not return to music or radio or whatever was playing when the call commenced. I can place a new call from my phone and hear over the blue tooth feature, but I can't place another call using the steering wheel button. It doesn't matter if I disconnect the call from the DIS control, the telephone of if the other party hangs up. The only way to return to the stereo is to disconnect the phone from the bluetooth using the DIS control. Then if I want to make another call, I have to go through the connect function again. Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

Often it depends on the model of the phone. Bluetooth is not 100% consistent from device to device. The best test is to find a friend with a different model phone and connect that to your car. If it works normally, the bug is a mismatch between the car and your phone.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try that and see if it works. I have Motorola Q9C on Verizon. It works very well with my regular Bluetooth. Hopefully this will solve the problem.

I have tried the suggestion of holding the botton on the steering but that doesn't help. It seems the system thinks the phone call is still in progress after the call is disconnected and will not release from the blue tooth. After a call the only way I can get the stereo system back on is to turn off the blue tooth on the phone and then the music pops back on. I have also had several incoming calls and the call doesn't pop up on the display. When I try to answer from the phone, the call is connected, but I have no audio from the phone or from the car system. Any other ideas?
