  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I haven't seen anything in this forum about the new technology Hyundai is coming out with in the next year or so. There will be 3 packages.

Assurance is like OnStar.

Essentials where you can access systems on your car by smart phone or the web from home.

Guidance looks like a whole new Nav system

Looks like some good stuff. I wonder what the packages will cost.

Here is the link where I found the information.

Actually, there have been a few threads that included mention of BlueLink, including this one. But I agree that it looks like good stuff. I wonder when it'll come to the Genesis - the Sonata will be the first to get it.

I don't use half the stuff in my Tech Pkg. Why would I want even more? (No, I'm not a tekkie, [just old] and all this stuff is just not needed by me for me to enjoy driving my car). I did go and look at two interesting 2011 cars lately. Taurus SHO (Twin Turbos) and MKS (red S) (also Twin Turbos) and both were loaded with Fords "Sync" and other things. All that technical stuff may impress a lot of you, but did not impress me at all.
I like both cars, however they both come with AWD as Standard, and after having problems with the transfer unit on my MKZ AWD, plus reading of problems in the Taurus BB with problems with the transfer unit, I don't want anything to do with AWD anymore. When I must drive in the snow, I will use a regular FWD, like our 02 Continental, or a new Sonata, Elantra, Taurus, etc etc etc. (With the price of gas going higher and higher, I leaning toward the Elantra to either replace the Continental, or as a third car).
