Boring out one's throttle body is an old trick that many hot rod shops can do. A source I have used for my RSpec (now sold) and Jaguar is www.maxbore.com. Boring throttle bodies is all he does, and the turn around is very quick. His work is flawless and gorgeous.
What you will gain is better air flow (more power) at high rpm. The disadvantage is that pumping losses are slightly increased at low rpm (highway cruise). This is because the butterfly valve (which is the biggest intake restriction) is further closed with a bored throttle body at the same rpm.
This mod is completely "non-detect". Removing the throttle body is very simple, just four 10mm bolts and some hose connections.
