  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Greetings,
I am having my custom shop modify (very minor) and install the Borla cat back system (#140377) on my 15' Genny V6 sedan. We mocked up the system (which is "S" type mufflers and made for the 09' thru 12' V8 sedan) and found that it's almost identical. The rear of the long "X" pipe will have to be shortened several inches - that appears to be it. Hangers and all FIT and LINE UP. Details and pics to follow.

I guess I have to ask, 'why?' I've had Borlas on Corvettes but this is a luxury car. Do you really want it louder? They just don't add much HP, can't be that.

If its just because you can, that's OK, too.

Some people wish Hyundai would have offered a sport or performance trim/option package and seek to make their own since Hyundai was remiss. Look down the list of Audi, BMW, Mercedes, etc, of their mid size or full size $50k+ sedans. They all have options from full on performance models (S/RS, M-series, AMG, etc) to just the dressing of such (S-line, M-Tech/M-Sport, AMG-styling).

the car sounds like crap compared the G or M series infiniti.I was nest to a genny coupe V6 recently and even that car has a better sound..I believe You can have a luxury car with some character and sound to it

I'm also interested. Kinda want a little more from my exhaust when I'm putting the car under load. Intriguing that the earlier model year fits almost hassle free. In theory this should mean that any system from this year range for that V8 should fit relatively well with minor modifications. Wish somewone would just come out with a bolt-on option already though. Hahaha.

rear mufflers is all i want lol... Just a little rumble... nothing fancy

How's the drone at cruising speeds?
