  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Didn't know this was a possibility until after I researched why I didn't have this option. Something worth noting and being aware of for future buyers.

I dont think you will miss Lane change assist. I had found it very finicky as to when "conditions were met" for it to assist, then the actual lane change took forever. The blind spot detection and the side mirror projection on the instrument panel provide you a very safe/effective way to change lane

You won't miss it---it doesn't work anyhow!

Whilst lane changing is hardly a difficult manoeuvre, I do actually enjoy using it purely for the novelty value! There's something strangely enjoyable watching the car steer across into the next lane by itself, rather like the auto parking feature. Over here it only works on the UK motorway network where it combines with the HDA, which automatically adjusts the speed limit which is useful on our 'variable speed limit' Motorway system.

Your sig says "No Genesis Yet!" Yes or no??

I use the lane change function regularly. It seems to work reliably and smoothly.

I understand it only works on major roads. You can't get much more major than the Indiana Toll Road or I-94, but neither will work for me. I finally gave up & turned it off. Sick of the 'ding ding' and 'conditions not met'. I do not miss it--actually I'm glad it's off!

And yet you posted to the GV80 sub. Oh well. You can change it in your user account settings. Same place you selected your pic.

You're correct that it only works on roads where HDA is operating. From your post, it seems it won't even work for you in that situation. Something's not right obviously.

I can reliably confirm I took delivery of an Electrified G80 in July.
If you know how to change the ‘no Genesis yet’ banner do let me know.
Go to your name up top, click it and go thru the settings.

Apparently! Is there a listing, somewhere, that tells where HDA2 will work?

LCA is extremely slow anyway. Not missing anything :)

I don't think there is any listing of roads where HDA is operative. But it shows up clearly on the dash when it's operating as soon as you activate cruise control.

The feature that the OP is commenting on is common amongst many different current Genesis model's not just the GV80. As a result whilst I have a E G80, I am sharing my experience of the feature not the model. Hopefully that answers your point.

This is a follow-up to my earlier post about when HDA and automated lane change become functional. If you are driving with both cruise and steering assist enabled, when you enter an area where HDA is allowed (many controlled access highways), "HDA" lights up in green on the display and your automated lane change should then function. Hold the turn signal in the first position until you hear a chime and the move then starts when conditions allow (a safe opening in traffic, etc.) My earlier post suggested that just being on cruise was sufficient, but it appears you also have to have enabled steering assist (LKA).
