  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello! Can anyone tell me how to exchange badges that I purchased from the forum. The package had nothing inside but the badges. They have the tabs and my car was sold in America. Help me please!

Those wings are parts from the Korean version, and if your Hyundai has no holes, just remove the tabs yourself. A dremel tool works good. If you don't have one and are not handy with other tools that might work, ask a friend.

BTW, what model year do you have?

Ahh. Great idea. 2013 3.6 base, I believe. I love it. Rented one a year ago and traded my truck in for a used low mileage Genesis sedan.

If you have a 2013, you don't have a "2G" Genesis. 2nd generation starts in 2015.

The rear badge should fit fine with the tabs (fits in same holes that the H uses), assuming that you have purchased the correct badge for the 2013. If you want to put the 2014-2015 rear badge on a 2013, you will have to remove the tabs because the holes don't line up.

Obviously, the front badge needs the tabs removed since there are no holes in the 2013 hood on the USA Genesis. The front and rear badges are not the same, due to the curvature of sheet metal.

There are many threads and post with instructions, including photos and videos.

Putting Generation 2 badges on a Generation 1 Genesis is sacrilege. Besides, there will soon be a brand new badge available.

OP has a 2013. not 2 Gen

Also, I don't know if the G2 hood badge fits on a G1, since it is curved to match the bend in the sheet metal on the hood (which may be different between G1 and G2). The trunk badge is pretty much flat.

Thanks everyone. I do not like the look of the hood badge either.
