I could check this out myself but maybe someone already knows the answer(s) and can save me the trouble. When using the auto hold function or adaptive cruise control and you are stopped in traffic with your foot NOT on the brake pedal are the brake lights on? I could not find the answer in my owners manual.

Yes, brakes lights are on in all cases. Back up to a glass window and look in the mirror. For cruise, on wet pavement look in the side mirror and you see the red glow starting down a hill

Thanks - you saved me the trouble. I asked because yesterday I was on a country road following a big RV with the adaptive cruise control on. He came to a complete stop before making a turn into a narrow road. The car behind me came right up on my tail with only a couple of feet left before stopping - as if he didn't realize I was braking/stopping.
