I actually noticed this early on and intend to bring it up as a warranty item when I take the car in for service soon (I've only had the car a few months), but am curious if it's a known issue with a fix I should insist on, etc.
There's a click/clunk sensation that happens somewhere in the first inch or so of pedal travel. It feels more like an issue with the pedal itself than something happening at the calipers that's being communicated back through the pedal. Ignoring the clunk, actual brake response and pedal feel seem normal enough, though, again, the car is new to me and the only Genesis I've ever driven. Just feels like there's something loose/worn in the pedal linkage that's clunking back and forth between two different positions when foot pressure is applied/removed.
I keep meaning to pretzel myself up under the dash/footwell and see if I can tell what's going on, but have yet to.
