I was turning into a parking lot the other day and managed to drop my passenger front wheel into a massive rut right where the driveway into the lot dipped. It bottomed out the shock and scraped the bottom of my front bumper, making a terrible noise in the process, although the damage isn't visible unless you look under the bumper.
I'm not sure exactly how, but the impact also seems to have ripped one of the pop clips/screws out of the hole it uses to connect the fender liner to the wheelwell closest to the passenger front door (see picture). It may not be very apparent from the picture, but the tab is broken where the clip was ripped out. I tried to pop it back in, but for some reason it seems that there's a ton of tension on the fender liner and I could barely even get it back to the place where it's supposed to clip in, and it of course won't stay because the tab is broken.
Anyone have an insight for a cheap fix for this? I don't care all that much, but I'd like to find a way to passably repair it cheaply. I believe the broken tab is actually part of the side skirt, so I don't see how I could easily replace it. Anyone have any other ideas? Could I JB Plasticweld the tab?
