  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

DEFINATELY A V-6...and notice it never cut loose either. Mine did.

I made a video today of my v-8 doing a burnout and Im trying to post it on youtube but they do not accept WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER files. They said something about exporting it to WMV. I have no clue what that means..

CAN YOU HELP ME? I have vista...if that helps?

Hi PINGGOLF, in Windows Movie Maker, go to Save Movie As - that will let you save as a WMV. I use this application a lot to make WMV files from my video camera. There's an option to Save for the web, which is probably your best option for YouTube.

Thanks WORD!

Its on there but after watching it i am a little dissapointed. I can take better videos than that.

Looks like you got it to work, but it is a bit slow to load, so my guess is you uploaded a HUGE HD quality file. Try the following next time:

1. Download your clips from the camera to the Vista desktop
2. Start Windows Movie Maker
3. Select Import Media, then import the clips you just saved to the desktop.
4. Now you can play with them...
a. Put all the clips in the same movie by dragging them to the video line at the bottom, in any order
b. Add a title slide between clips...'burnout', '0-60', etc.
5. Play your creation in the viewing window on the right
6. When you like it, click on Publish Movie
7. Select "This Computer"
8. Select a name for the movie & publish to desktop
9. Now the fun part, here is where you control the size of the output file:
picture.php

10. If you take the default "best quality" you will generate a HUGE file, and in the wrong format.
11. Instead, click on "More Settings" and try Windows Media Low Bandwidth which will generate the smallest file.
12. Select "Publish Movie"
13. It will crank away for awhile, then you will have a very reasonable size file on your desktop in WMV format.
14. Double click it, and it will play in Windows Media Player and give you a good idea what it will look like on YouTube.
15. If it is too grainy, do it again and select VHS quality.
16. If you like the file, do your YouTube upload thing.

THANKS SO MUCH! I selected the format options -HD 1080P. I reckon it is a HUGE file.

Thanks for sharing that info:)

Use that one for pictures of the family, then burn it to a DVD. ;)
