Burnouts in G70 3.3t?

Power slides are fun and all, but I am not sure if we can do standstill burnouts. At least maybe I am dumb and can't figure it out lol. Sport/sport+ has the Launch Control and Comfort stalls it as probably an engine safety feature. Anybody figure it out?

I've never tried this yet, but shouldn't you be able to do that in sport+ and disabling both stability and traction control?
 
If you mean doing that with the brake pedal depressed, then NO. This car does not have a line-lock feature, where only the front brakes are applied. The only burnout you can do is with a launch, but it's not going to be much with only 300+ HP.

You just have to have wet back tires to do standstill burnout u can slide in 2nd gear and smoke out tires easy though
 
Im a little late but theres a guy that shows you can remove brake fuse and it will allow you to do burnouts. I bought a micro2 adapter, added a switch and fuse and can do burnouts with a flip of switch.

Early one people were physically cutting the brake wire but the switch with fuse adapter is way better. Can show pic if needed

Im a little late but theres a guy that shows you can remove brake fuse and it will allow you to do burnouts. I bought a micro2 adapter, added a switch and fuse and can do burnouts with a flip of switch.

Early one people were physically cutting the brake wire but the switch with fuse adapter is way better. Can show pic if needed

I did this mod last night in preparation for a drag and drive event this winter and something unexpected happened... I was testing the switch in the driveway (working like it was supposed to) when the traction control light came on and the brake lights started working again with the switch in the off position! I even unplugged the whole contraption (the same as removing the fuse completely) and the brake lights still worked. I guess the ECU saw the open circuit and went around it? I pulled codes and it had a code in the ABS module for open circuit on the brake light switch. Has anyone else run across this? And, if so, how do you make this work long-term?

I got videos of me doing donuts, for practice and safety reasons. but mine is manual and a lot easier to control IMO. As far as standstill burnouts go everything I've read and seen you'll need to do a brake snip. just Google that. In addition there is a guy on Facebook that sells them. Just be careful because it disables the brake lights as it tricks the PCM/ECU. If you have any questions just message me or reply. Thank you and have a great day/night.
 
I think I may have found a work-around to the under-hood brake snip. There is a connector somewhere under the driver's side dash called "Joint Connector JE01" that divides the signal from the stop light switch to all of the various modules in the car. Supposedly, pin #29 has the wire that goes through the firewall to the ECU. If I can find this connector, I'll make the cut there and run it to a switch in the same location as I posted above.
 
Update: I was able to locate Joint Connector JE01! It is strapped to the main bundle of wires that come through the firewall with cloth harness tape (very easy to miss at first glance) under the driver's side dash up against the side of the foot well. The wire to look for is the fourth slot (third wire) in from the right on the bottom row (pin # 29 in the connector). Snip the wire there, run it to a switch of your choice and then let the burnouts commence!

I removed the lower dash pad and fuse box just for extra room but it's not totally necessary.

JB4 form has a lot of information on the brake snip. A lot of people are using it to create extra boost while launching the car. Just be careful with this because you can damage your drive train significantly, especially on all-wheel-drive cars.
