  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi All:
I just joined and would appreciate some help.
I'm about to buy (I think) a 2011 Ultimate tomorrow with about 30k miles.
The big stuff checks out (they've allowed me an overnight test drive).
But the PO was smoker and obviously didn't care much about the vehicle; it was probably purchased at auction.
A number of minor issues concern me but I think they can be addressed.....EXCEPT the rear seat massage remote is missing.
I can't find them on Ebay, Hyundai sites or anywhere else.
Showstopper? Should I make the dealer find and program it for me or am I just missing something.
Thanks!

If you can't find it on a Hyundai parts site such as www.newhyundaiparts.com, then go to the parts counter at a local dealer and ask them. Is it mentioned in the Owners Manual?

I would think not a show stopper...how much time will you be spending in the back seat anyway. However, a GREAT negotiation tool.

Is that the one with the cooler in the back too?

Why would a non-smoker buy a smoker's car? The dealer will tell you that they will remove the odor overnight using an ozone machine. Don't believe them. It will not remove the odor permanently.

If you still want the car, however, just get a "we owe" order from the dealer that promises that they will provide a new seat remote control to you ASAP.
