  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Well, I have been bouncing back and forth between a 300S and an R-Spec and I think I am finally going to go for the R-Spec. I drove it and love the power and the ride. Wish it had paddle shifters and the tranny was more responsive. But taking the plunge anyway.

I like to mod my cars. Hoping to rebadge the car with Genesis wings and tint the windows. Any other suggestions?

One question I have is does the R-Spec have a full size spare?

Thanks. Didn't happen yet. The paint was damaged on the back bumper on the drivers side. Now i need to wait for another car

I have only done the badging and ceramic tints on my black R-Spec so far. Beyond those changes, I'd suggest you drive it stock for a few 000 miles before making mods that affect sound or ride quality. For many people, the R-Spec in stock form is the perfect dual personality car -- quiet luxury sedan one minute / begs-to-be-driven sports sedan the next.

What color are you looking to purchase?

Congrats on the Rspec choice. I think you will find the 8sp tranny a benefit and other features a plus.

Not sure I could wait awhile to do upgrades though Exbmwguy suggests.:p

Just under 2500 for me and already got cat deletes and CAI:D

HI All, New to the forum and have enjoyed reading many of the discussions already. I am about to pull the plug on a black on black R-Spec. Does anyone know if a re-badge will violate the terms of a lease?

Thanks

Dealer just confirmed that a re-badge will not violate the warranty terms.

finally bought my R-Spec last Saturday. My only problem now is I don't have anywhere to go and want to drive it more. The ride is great; fun car on the open road. Only problem is many freeways out here in SoCal aren't open too often.

There are on ramps!! :D

The car comes with a compact spare, but there is room for a full size tire in the trunk. I have a full size in my trunk.

Gambler- Why? Added weight- would you be using that wheel & tire (assuming you would purchase duplicate rim & tire) for extended periods and not fixing or replacing the flat tire? No sense here.
Wait...Your GENESIS currently HAS a full size spare?!
I would almost guarantee that a full size tire would not fit in the space, thus making your trunk all f-ed up.
