  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey all,

I have the opportunity to pick up some Gen coupe 19's with the OEM protenza's on them.

I just wanted to know from you guys with +1 or +2 wheels...how is the ride? I have a 2009 so the ride is already a LITTLE bouncy. I really don't want to sacrifice ride quality for a little better look.

These wheels have also been plasti-dipped black...not sure I like it...might peel it off.

I do not notice any difference in ride quality from the 18" wheels to the R Spec wheels. With the Conti DW's it's pretty good ride. Which Potenza's does the coupe have?

Re: Calling Genesis Sedans with 19's

I LOVE the coupe wheels. I actually like that plasti-dip look, but I wouldn't keep it if I had those wheels on my sedan. I thought about getting a set of Coupe 19's to use as winter wheels... but they're too pricey for my taste.

As for the ride, I could DEFINITELY tell a difference between 17's and 19's when I test drove the different cars. However, a lot of that difference was driven by the suspension settings. Just wait until someone on here who's made the wheel switch chimes in. There are a few on the boards... you might try searching for "new wheels" threads. That might help.

Thanks guys. This dude is offering me a KILLER deal on these wheels with the tires. I just have to convince him to ship them lol.

The protenza's are 235/45/19...not sure which sub sect.

I just don't want to lose my cushy luxury ride! Haha

Just curious if the tires are the summer compound (I think they are with the 19's on the coupe).

I think they are the Potenza RE050A.

I have not yet. I am going to run my stock wheels through the summer again. They have enough tread left for another season.

I love the M35/45s wheels. I always have and have always wanted them. They are just so darn expensive! Nice ride btw ;)

Re: Calling Genesis Sedans with 19's

Sold mine before selling the car for only $500. Couldn't sell them for over 5 months at $700 with tires. Its what I get for being in North Carolina. Thanks for liking the car.

I took off the trim cause I thought it would look cleaner only being on the lens itself. The passenger side is a pain to remove. The top right nut is right in front of a big connector. Might try covering the whole thing like you did cause I do like the look. Let you know how that goes.
