  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Can anyone verify that this universal car mount fits from the CD tray?

Can anyone verify that this universal car mount fits from the CD tray? Space is tight between the CD tray and shit knob.

It fits! This is a replacement for the schosche holder which was blocking the airflow from my vent. Easy to install and remove in a few seconds. Turning the knob causes the grooves to expand against the CD opening, securing the holder. No issues as of now. The only con is that the device does not pivot enough (maybe 30 degress left to right/up & down) to achieve the correct angle where the phone faces the driver from the center position. It will rotate 360 degrees to allow portrait or landscape view.

Awesome! I thought the mount would sag and hit the shift knob but it looks like it doesn't. Thanks!

The mount doesn't, but my iPhone cable will rub against the shift knob in Park if I leave the phone in the vertical position (portrait orientation). I keep my phone positioned so that it is horizontal (landscape orientation).
