  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

It was kind of cool at first, but both my wife and I are basically done with the little jingle that plays upon entering and exiting the car. Is there a way to disable in the menus? I've looked but can't find it yet, nor could I find a thread on the subject. As someone else mentioned, it would be cool to have a VAG-COM type access (I had in my Audi A6s) where with the right software you could hook up a laptop to the car's computer and tweak all kinds of settings.

Almost 2 months in and really enjoying this car. One of these days I will post a "likes/dislikes" list but the likes far outnumber the dislikes at this point.

Yes - it is in the settings that are accessed via the steering wheel control. Can't recall off the top of my head what it is called though...

Hmm, I thought I explored that set of menus too, but was in a hurry and will check again. Thanks!

It's in there...I'm 100% positive because I just disabled it myself a couple of weeks ago. I can't remember exactly where but it's in the Driver Settings for sure.

You can enable/disable on User Settings > Sound > Welcome Sound

My first order of business on buying a new car is disabling stuff.

Same here! At first I thought the jingle was ok, but it's a bit much after awhile. More importantly, my wife can't stand it. And you know the deal...."happy wife, happy life".

I want to replace the sound with the Flash Gordon theme by Queen. :)

Found it in the menus as suggested and disabled last night. This morning when I fired it up I only heard sweet sounds of the engine...thanks guys!
