  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Can you use Apple Car Play for navigation and still listen to the radio?

The built in Nav system is far inferior to Waze and Apple Maps. It takes me on bizarrely long routes and yesterday sent me to the wrong side of the highway for my destination. (Though I do love the Nav’s dotted line that keeps you oriented with an “as the crow flies” direct line to your destination.).

So there are times I need to access a reliable route through my phone. Yesterday I discovered that when I had Car Play selected to use Waze, I was forced to also use audio off my phone. I could not continue to listen to the car radio station.

Is there a work around?

Who is behind the wacky Nav software?

Yes, you can use the car audio when you use apple car play and Waze. I all the time have my Waze connected and active but listen to Sirius as the audio. Once you get the apple car play active, just use the audio source to choose satellite, or FM or whatever you want to listen to.
