  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Does anyone have any experience with Canadian dealers servicing their Genesis in Southern Ontario ?

regarding what? I am working with Pfaff Hyundai in Woodbridge. Other than Hyundai Canada not having a tem genesis to help dealers, I think the dealership experience is OK so far.

Well i purchased my genesis a few days ago, I'm now waiting for it to get here off the boat. My dealership experience was not amazing out of the whole thing i had to call them 3 time and go in three time as if i didn't have anything better to do and the salesman knew nothing about the car i was the one telling him the specs on th 2.0T so. I'm thinking of speaking with the sales manager even now after the sale is complete i don't know what he'll be able to do for me but hope that this problem will be rectified for other customers.

I am going to be purchasing a 4.6 Tech within the next couple of months and I was looking for feedback as to what your dealership experience was like in the GTA. I have been to two (Dixie Hyundai and Hyundai of Mississauga) and both were ok...still trying to get a good idea of which dealerships are good in terms of price and customer service.

Be advised, the best warranty in the business it is not, unless you fork over another $2700 for an extended warranty. On a vehicle less than 1 week old, I need repairs done that will take a whole day (the other 2 took 4 hours and 2 hours respectively), from 8am to 6pm minimum. Because I opted not to take the extended warranty on a new vehicle, I get to walk for the day. And to think I thought Nissan / Infiniti were too restrictive with their warranties.

Initial problems, worse than my last six vehicles, this from a vehicle that is touted as good as they get by JD Powers, and the rest of the automotive journalists.

I guess I should be thankful the vehicle didn't fail far from home, or I'd be left on the streets until Hyundai decides to fix it. I should have been wary when approached to purchase warranty coverage on a new vehicle.

I don't know if this applies in the US, I can only attest to my Canadian warranty experience.

I do know for sure, if the Genesis remains problematic, and warranties do not treat buyers fairly, this will be the last Hyundai I will purchase.

So I walk into a Hyundai dealership for the first time - Chomedey Hyundai in Laval. Visit the parts dept. for touch up paint (not in stock) and an oil filter.
Ask about a transfer of warranty as I bought used, parts guy points over to a guy sitting at a desk. Went over and stood in front of him for more than a minute without even an acknowledgement that I exist. He was typing away. I could not see what was on his screen, but I was with my daughter and she said after we left that he was on Facebook! I do not think I'll be returning.
They obviously have more business than they need and I really do not want to be a bother :p
