  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm currently in Europe till mid August, but I'm wondering if anyone has received their "notification" from Hyundai Canada re the tire swap?
I had emailed them before I left (April) and they said it would be coming, but didn't say when.

Thanks

Not yet.

My dealer in Ottawa received the notice last week, but they don't have the stock yet. I don't think you'll see owner notifications until late summer or the fall, based on what my salesman told me. He drives a 2015 3.8 Tech.

When I bought my car, it already had the Hankooks removed and Michelins installed. This was in April, and the car came from Belleville.

Ottawa here, dealing with Myers Kanata. No notice yet. Although (much to my pleasure) even my salesperson was aware of the issue/remedy when I was negotiating. It was nice to deal with someone who actually cares enough to research the product they sell and stay on top of the latest news.

No notification from Hyundai Canada, but when I booked my car in for a recent oil service, the dealer did the tire swap.

I contacted Hyundai yesterday by email. They responded as follows: "Thank you for contacting Hyundai Auto Canada.

We have been informed by our Quality Assurance Department that the Genesis Tire Replacement Campaign (C0243) was launched recently. Please provide us with the name of your servicing dealership as we would like to make arrangement and have a representative at the dealership contact you to book an appointment.

Please do not hesitate to contact us with any further questions."

I've provided the name of my dealer and am now awaiting a call from their service department.

I had the new Michelins installed with the mandatory "ECU Upgrade" today along with the taillight fix, an "AVN Software Upgrade for SXM data service", "dummy housing installation" and "cowl lower duct replacement". It took about 4 hours. I notice no real difference in noise levels from the engine or tires and no change in handling, although I admittedly did not try anything aggressive. Hopefully my flat spot problem is now a thing of the past and I can love the car unreservedly.
