  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi Everyone,
Just wondering if anyone noticed this issue before, basically when coasting without brakes, the car sort of lurches forward. The RPMs also seem to move erratically when this happens. I used the paddle shift to display the gear and basically there was no change, in fact when it shifted from 8 to 7 it was smooth. I also haven't been to replicate it every time, usually happens when there is some gradient in the road.

Check if your air box/filter is clogged.

Air filter is fine. I don't have any issues accelerating, it's smooth as ever, just coasting without brakes.

I tried re creating the issue yesterday, I was coasting downhill and it happened again. Could it be TC issue? Or like a computer issue?

How many miles are on the car? It could be due for a tranny fluid flush. There's also a TSB out about harsh shifts.

Just hit 100,000 miles and I have done 2 drain and fills, the second one was recent, after I noticed the issue
