  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

One day this week I stopped at the ATM and when I got back in my car( about 4 minutes later) it would not start. There was no power at all, no cranking, no clicking, no lights, totally dead car. After about 45 minutes I finally got someone to give me a jump and it started right away. Now for some of the particulars; it’s a 2009 v6 with Premium pkg. It has184k miles and the battery was replaced last summer. I haven’t had any issues at all with the car. It has always started right up even in the coldest of times. The weather on this particular day was sunny and in the 60’s. I took the car to my friends shop and we put the tester on it and all components were charging and working as should be with a full load on the system . Has anyone here had this or a similar experience? Or does anyone have any idea on what might be the issue?

I had a similar problem. I went to start it and it all went blank like it blew a fuse. Turns out when I had the battery replaced some time back, they added one of those green corrosion rings at the base of the battery post. This made it so the battery clamp could not be lowered all the way down and was just a bit loose even though the bolt was tight. I loosened the clamp, removed the ring, put the clamp all the way down and it tightened up good.
