  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Looking at getting carbon fiber mirror caps. Deciding between the $80-$100 stick on caps or the genuine $330-$350 replacement caps. Anyone that bought the cheaper stick on caps run into any quality / chipping / finish issues? There's a few different ones out there it appears. My biggest issue with cheaper carbon fiber products in the past was the finish starts looking bad after 2-3 years. Any input would be great!

I have those fake caps and while they look nice and I never had any fading in over 3 years on 2 cars, I will say there was a thread about installing the replacement ones and it seemed near impossible.

Something to do with the harness not fitting through the opening and they had to have it installed at a shop that had to disassemble it. Just seemed like nobody was having an easy time, not even the dealership.

Check first if you can find that thread or someone that did it but I stopped wanting them.

Now that I have a full ADRO CF Kit and the front marker and front trim in CF I think I will now remove the caps and have that new 3d Paint protection Film that looks like real CF not that cheap ass printed stuff.

It literally looks real. Cheaper too and it's made for protection and self healing.

There is a guy on YouTube who shows installs I forget the name but I saw enough to see it literally looks real.

I will redo my handles, gas tank cover, mirrors for a fraction of buying the mirrors and no headache. I may even have my pillars done and remove the real CF I have on there.

It looks so real I may do my hood but it was $750 but still cheap but trust me, my car is noce and I would not be putting no fake looking wrap like I did on my Lexus years ago but then that is all there was.

I'm looking for a low profile rear spoiler that's not to aggressive. Any suggestions, anyone.
