  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Approximately once a month my iPhone will be playing music or podcasts and navigating (normally Google Maps), then it will randomly disconnect and not reconnect. I try to unplug/reply the iPhone at the base of the phone and it does not reconnect. I try to unplug/replug the iPhone cable from the USB port below the screen, but it does not reconnect. My custom (star) button is programmed to open Phone Projection, so when I press that (without the iPhone reconnecting on its own), I get the following message: “Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are the supported Phone Projection options. Enable the option to be used, then connect a phone that supports Android Auto or Apple CarPlay using an approved USB cable.” It gives me two options: “Settings” or “Close”. If I hit Settings, it crashes (both while driving and when I pull over and put it in park). I try shutting down the iPhone and restarting, which doesn’t work. I try pulling over, turning off the engine, then turning it back on, which doesn’t work. The only thing that seems to work is to turn off the engine for at least several minutes and it reconnects, which is not a good solution if you’re pulled over on the side of the road or if you need the map for directions. I have a 2019 G70, Standard-class Gen5 Navigation, iPhone 12 Mini, iOS 16.0.

I have had the same issue since updating the map/SW. Random drops to Genesis OS, but I can get back to CP with the star button.

Once, it would not reconnect unplug/different cable/restart phone... until car was off for a few minutes.

Contacted Genesis support with full data and they suggested that I bring it to the dealer.
