  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Is a 2010 Genesis 4.6 w/Nav package supposed to automatically change CDs when finished with the last song on the current CD?

Or do I have to manually change CDs by pushing some button? Yes, it is a changer (6 CDs)

what are these "CD" things you speak of?

Didn't they replace those with something called a "DVD"??

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
It plays DVDs and CDs. The question is should they change automatically?

Can anyone enlighten me on whether the discs should change automatically?

wow. all of the replies were totally not helpful.

Here is the short answer:

no.

Here is the long answer:

Because the Genesis has a 6 DVD player that happens to play CD's they do not automatically advance to the next disc in the system. This is because it does not want to advance DVD's automatically. I assume it is for safety purposes but I prefer to think they are thinking about the avid car porn watcher haha.

But a semi-short answer is that it is a 6 disc player and NOT a 6 disc changer.

You're welcome in advance.
