  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My 2009 Genesis has 33,000 miles and I've always taken excellent care of the interior. The only part of the car that has started to show serious ware is the center armrest. The leather has lost color and is significantly worn down. Has anyone ever replaced the center armrest or knows if I can order the part?
Thanks :)

Have over 54,000 miles on mine and no problem. still looks new. Cleaned regularly and protected with Lexol. Yes you can order part from dealer.

Hmmm. Based on online parts website I looked at, you may have to pay about $500. Maybe becasue you have purchase more than just lid, but not sure.

Of course Hyundai can supply the part. You should also check with a local auto upholsterer/restoration shop. They may do it for less $.

It seems like it shouldn't be too hard to get someone to re-dye or wrap it for you. Some up here posted a pic where they wrapped their own armrest.

Leather? I believe it is Pleather
