  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

hello all
Some sticky liquid was spilt on the center area and got down behind the buttons. Now the ones on the passenger side are nearly useless as if you push them down they barely come back up. and dont if it is cold (like now).
So has anyone taken the center area apart? I was planning on doing that then cleaning out behind the buttons.

fyi to anyone else
use plastic pry tools
take off the trim around the cd player
then hai g your hands, lightly pull up from under the cd player then use another pry tool to pull up the rest of the trim.
be careful to note the plugs and the screws you will be taking out.
long story is the buttons on my center area sew clean and smooth finally! it takes a bit to clean out the buttons and the rubber backing but it. is worth it
