  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

This is dash cam footage from a recent ride a car club I'm in went on. Neither of us were really pushing it but it was a "spirited" drive through the canyons. The ESC light came on, on more than a few occasions. Sorry about the audio.... I had the stereo cranked up and youtube did not like that so I had like 30 copyright infringements after uploading. I had to do a sound replace with one of their stock audio tracks. I just picked a long classical piece which seemed to take up the most time. lol

Next time I'll leave the stereo and AC off so you can hear the 3.8 roar :D

Nice video. And the classical music was a good choice. :)

Hahaha, that classical music soundtrack was hilarious. Unexpected but it actually went pretty well considering the types of cars involved. I'd love to hear the engine roaring in another one.

Btw, that's scenery was awesome. Looks like a fun ride.

Thanks! Driving around the canyons in California is a lot of fun.

Like the music choice as well.Ride of the Valkyries is always good for another 10 mph in my car!

Looks like Mulholland drive coming up from Neptune's Net/101. ;) been up/down that road many a times on the bike. Fun times. Need to take the R Spec out on her one day.

I didn't watch the whole video but did you do all of Mulholland? When you get to the south end, you need to cut off on old Topanga road headed down to the one. Less traffic and nicer scenery than Topanga rd. ;)

It actually wasn't those roads at all, although I like driving those too.

This was starting on Little Tujunga to Sand Canyon to Soledad Canyon to Angeles Forrest Highway to Upper Little Tujunga to Angeles Crest Highway.

Next time your up that way, tell Matt Farah I said "Hi".

He's a car nut that is on Drive TV, The Smoking Tire (youtube). He does a lot of driving on the roads you were on and a half dozen people at a time drive to this area from all over for Matt to review their cars, many of them modified.

He's also been in many of the Super Speeders video's that Rob Ferretti created starting back in 2003. You should check some of these video's out. From over 200 mph in a Supra to crazy car crashes, while all on public roads.

Here's an example:

Had this been the Rspec it would have been a lot harder for him to get away..lol.

True... although I wasn't really pushing it hard either. There were a few times I floored it but I could have pushed much harder. Then again, so could he. I also had the AC cranked and the stereo up. We were not out to drive recklessly. We had a bunch of bmw's, mercedes, porches and audi's behind us in the group and we were all trying to be respectful of one another.

Here's some photos of that day. It was a joint ride/drive with a gay MC and gay car club I'm in. That day I decided to drive the Genesis instead of ride my Ninja. In most of the pics you can see my Genesis parked behind my buddies M3.
