  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi everybody, Last night I was driving my 5.0 ultimate and I got blinking alarm with beeps in the gauge cluster telling me Check PSB. I scanned the car and is giving me Trouble code U0109 Lost Communication With Fuel Pump Control Module "A"
Has anybody had a same problem? any idea about the cause or repair would be appreciated.
I attached the OBD2 report to the thread.

Maybe a warning indicating the fuel pump isn't pumping enough fuel starving the engine. I'd make haste to a dealer.

Remember, there are two fuel pumps on this car. A Low Pressure Fuel Pump (LPFP) that exists in the fuel tank and pumps fuel to the engine and a High Pressure Fuel Pump (HFPF) that sits above the engine that super pressurizes the fuel being sent to the Direct Injection rail leading into the injectors inside the engine.

Coincidence... or are the electronics in these cars just a mess? Why would a check Pre-Safe Seat Belt warning message appear for a issue with a fuel pump? This is not the first post about a fuel pump module causing weirdness on the CAN bus.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
it's the module that controls the psb and fuel pump, I had mine replaced 2 years ago and the error has never come back.

Thanks for the information. Do you remember how long did the service take?

My dealer replaced the module in about 4 hours, and I didn’t even have an appointment. I’m still in shock about how fast that was diagnosed and solved. It took me almost as long to rent a car and get back to my office.

Good to know about the timing. My 2015 3.8 Genesis is going through this same issue- PSB Warning light. I have a service appointment tomorrow at 7:30am and have printed this thread to show them. Hope this works...fingers crossed!

Did you get this fixed. Is there anyway to turn off the sound? or alarm

Not so weird... When my Infiniti was losing a cam position sensor, it lit up the traction/stability control lights as well as Check Engine.

I got the same issue (PSB) alarm the agent did the same solution which they have replaced the controller of fuel pump. However, I have noticed they have used a different part number the old was 33040-B1000 and the new 33041-D2000

my car is Genesis 2016 3.8 v6

Does anyone knows if there is a recall on the old model?

Um, price is good to post too. I have sane issue no check engine light but the code came up. Now the cost for the guy that did fix this?
