  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2023 GV80. I have an electronic chirp(3-4 chirps) sometimes about
4-5 seconds after starting the car. There's no message or info on screen or gauges. It's not like any other warning/alert sound I've heard the car make. It's definitely not a mechanical chirp from the car/engine, more of a chirping or whoop whoop whoop alert inside the car. I tried starting the car with doors open, closes, locked, unlocked and can't pin it down. Never heard it while driving or any other time. Just after starting the car. Any ideas? Thanks.

The seat belt bong?

Not the seat belt. After some searching I found some posts on a Hyundai board about an aftermarket GPS tracker with a clip of the noise I'm hearing. So I think that's going to be it...maybe.

Make sure it is not comming from your phone, like Carplay or android auto connecting'
Probably not it, but leave your phone in the house and try it.

Thanks for the idea, I turned my phone off and left it in the house but still hot the "whoops". It's coming from around the fuse panel/driver side AC vent which is where I've seen some tracking units. I'm going to contact the dealer and see what they can do. The car has a sticker on the window for a tracker installed too.

We get a high pitched frequency steady sound when we approach the car in the garage. The alarm is not set, doors are not locked and the engine is not running. Once we enter the car, hit the starter button the noise stops. It does not happen all the time and we can not figure out what may be the cause of the warning type sound.

A similar but intermittent sound occurs while I'm washing the car and water runs over the door sensor if I have the key in my pocket. So I now put the key in the car when cleaning it.
