  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2023 GV70 with the Sport Prestige package, 18000 miles. The thin "chrome trim on the driver door that surrounds the carbon fiber is wearing off. It's where my leg rests so I'm assuming this is the cause. I'm very disappointed that this is happening. I've never had this in any prior car & I thought the quality of the interior components, particularly with the SP package were to be very high grade. Is this a common problem? Any suggestions on how to fix it? Love the car but this is very frustrating.

I have a 2024 Genesis Advance + and had the identical problem in the same spot on the driver's side interior door panel. I took it in to my local Genesis Service Rep who took pictures and submitted it to Genesis Canada for a "Pre- Work Authorization" for warranty replacement. Four days later they called to say it had been approved and the entire replacement door panel had been ordered. Just had the warranty work done and it looks terrific. The Service Adviser said this was the first time their dealership had to replace a door panel due to wear. Hope this helps.
