  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My keyfob was dirty, so I decide to clean it. OK, the truth is that I left my keyfob in my pants that went into the washing machine. I used Tide He Advanced Formula in hot water, with an extra rinse cycle. After discovering my "error" I carefully pried open the keyfob and set it aside, making sure I did not press any of the buttons. Then I waited a week for it to completely dry. Amazingly, it still works perfectly.

 .....yep washed mine once before lol, took it apart and let it dry for about the same amount of time, no problems. The one big mistake people make with electronics is trying to turn them back on or press a bunch of buttons before they are 100% dry. Glad yours was o.k., replacing them is not cheap.
