  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

After reading an exhaustive treatise on this and performing on wife's EOS, I thought " better living through chemistry" and thought how of how I get brake dust off? Meguires of course, so I masked off tip and surround and sprayed McGuires wheel cleaner( this stuff is supposedly approved by wheel mfgrs) on and into tip. Let it set for a minute and then hit with a rubber brush designed for wheels....viola!,,,stains gone...apply wax and wait for next time.

Assuming that you did so to protect the adjacent paint? Is this Meguiar's recommendation, or rather your own safety precaution? Regardless, I know they make good stuff.

Is this what you used?

Yes, that is the product. My friend at Meguiars did NOT tell me to mask it off, just my own precaution...blue painters tape don't you know. I use mostly al Meguiars products except paste wax..there I use a product called " Fleet Wax"made for Aeronautical industry...available at West Marine $25 a tub....easy on/off hardest finish I've ever seen in 50 years of cars/ boats applications.
