  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

has anyone had any experience with front clear shields such as ventureshield products or any other. considering having it done. have genesis coupe

have the 3m film.....put it on in November...so far so good!

Hard to say because a friend put it on for free....I do know that the film costs from 1 to 2 hundred depending on what you buy. I did entire front up to 1/3 of the hood, lights and back of mirrors...The labor is the real cost. The friend that did it for me is a high end detailer and he charges from 600 to 900 all included depending on the car

That's what I was afraid of. I think I'm more inclined to live with the chips, then after a few years when it's bad enough to matter, get the whole front end resprayed. Although by that time, I might just get rid of the car.

I have had the 3M clear bra on my last three cars, best product around. When the wife and I went down to get matching Hyundai - She got the Veracruz limited and I got the Genny 4.6 with tech we took them immediately over the 3M guy and had him do both cars all front and mirrors.

Had both done back in October and the product is great. After about 3.5 to 4.5 years it needs to be removed have the paint buffed and sealed and then have another clear bra applied.

I also have it on my Shelby GT 500 and I pulled into the garage a little too much one day and the bra bubbled from hitting the wall but the paint did not have any mark what so ever. Had a new clear bra put on no problems!!

I also have the clear bra which was installed by the dealer, and is barely noticeable. Washing the bugs off after a trip is so much easier!!
