  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just got a quote for clear protection film from Wrap Society in West palm.. $850 for the bumper, partial hood, and mirrors? and $1000 if i wanted headlights done as well.. Does this price seem normal?

I place here in Stuart did my Optima 4 years ago and don't remember it being that high..

That seems a little high. IIRC, I paid $450 for front bumper, mirrors, and headlights. I wish I'd gotten the rear bumper and "trunk ledge" as well. This is will Xpel Ultimate, a top-tier film. Whatever you do, get something.

definitely.... not to many Xpel installers around here so i have to pay premium prices i guess... I can contact the dealer and see if they can do it or they know a installers...

thanks

ok, well i just got off the phone with the installer the same guy i used before and i have few options... Suntech now offers a clear film with a 5yr warranty self healing for $762..

that covers 11.8'' on hood, fenders, bumper and mirrors, and i get door jams for free... definitely going this route.... Maybe next week i can get in.. He needs the car for two days.. which is good... need something before the love bugs attack lol

You are in the ballpark.

I went with SunTek for entire front (bumper, headlamps, complete hood, mirrors)+ door handle pockets & rear trunk ledge for $885.

Dropped car off the night before and it was ready for pickup at noon the following day.
Did beautiful work inside a super sanitary shop.

thats a good deal IMO... i had the the 12'' done on the hood on my old car and over time created that dirty line from the film... i would prefer the whole hood but not sure the price..

thanks for the reply

Price seems in line with what i saw when i shopped.
I went with Xpel PPF - entire front cowl, half of hood, area right above windshield, back of side mirrors, and rear trunk ledge - all for $1000.
With the rake of this car - it's not a matter of 'if' you will take a hit, just when... my cowl still looks brand new. very happy

thanks Scooter... Im trying to drop off the car this week... I also want the strip right about the windshield done as well.... That spot is a bug magnet for sure...

i really want to do the entire hood but i'm afraid the price will exceed 1000... but ill talk to him and find out.. :)

I had the whole front end done and the rear bumper with Xpel over a year ago. Yes costly but it still looks great not a single mark anywhere. After two 3000 mile trips from New York to Florida behind many trucks it still Looks like the day I drove it off the lot. Great stuff.

well better sooner than later.. i dropped off the car a few hours ago...

front bumper
11.8'' on the hood and fenders
mirrors
headlights
Door cups on Driver and passenger doors
front driver and passenger door edges
all that being done for under $900... not bad IMO...
