clicking tapping/noise at 2-3k in 2nd and 3rd gear?

I just got a used 2009 genesis v8 tau its at 59,400 miles and today on my way to work i had the radio off and could hear a clicking/tapping noise at 2-3k rpm in 2nd or 3rd gear? Any idea of what this is from? at idle or when im heavy on the throttle or other gears its quiet. I looked at other links on the site and read about noise issues on cold starts and but nothing specified at a certain range of rpms or gear. Any info is helpful thanks

There was a TSB on early Genesis models about noise on rear axle. Not sure if that is what you are describing. To fix it they had to put spacers on the rear axle, but only if they could reproduce the noise problem, so the TSB was not applied to all vehicles. You dealer can tell you if the TSB has been applied to your VIN. You may be able to find more info by searching this forum.
