Closing windows after shutting off car

I don’t have a G80 but if it works the same as mine, it disables the windows when you open the drivers door NOT when ignition goes off. So if you sit in the car anyone can open and close their windows as long as you don’t open the drivers door. I think eventually it will lock though. Radio too will keep play, just don’t just out. If this is different than my car, I’m sure someone speak out fast enough.

In my '19 G80, after I switch off the ignition, I can raise and lower all windows for thirty seconds (plenty of time, actually) if you haven't opened the door. Open the door, and you're done - nada. Page 3-36 of the Owner's Manual. I scrolled through the settings and found nothing to modify this.

Sounds like your car has a problem.

Page 3-40 of the owner's manual says: "The power windows will operate for approximately 30 seconds after the Engine Start/Stop button is placed in the ACC or OFF position. However, if the front doors are opened, the Power Windows cannot be operated even within the 30 second period."

You should have it checked out by your dealer.

I didn't know this, but the same manual instruction is on page 3-41 in the 2017 G80 manual..."The power windows will operate for approximately 30 seconds after the Engine Start/Stop button is placed in the ACC or OFF position.
