Collision avoidance system works sporadically

I have a 2019 G70 3.3 and lately when I pull into my garage the front collision avoidance system doesn't work. But if I put the car in reverse it does notice the front of the car is near objects. If I back up a few feet and go forward again it works. I tested it when parking and where it would normally go off because of being close to the car next to me. It isn't doing that. Has anyone experienced this and if so any ideas what is causing this?

Have you checked to make sure the Park Assist button is illuminated when you pull in the garage? It turns itself on automatically when you put the car in reverse and will stay engaged for a short time after you go back to Drive. But, if you somehow pressed the button to turn off Park Assist, it will default back to off as you drive.

Glad it was a simple fix. The only stupid question is the one that goes unasked...
