Compass does not remember last state

Hi Guys, I own a 2015 Hyundai Genesis Ultimate. I turn off the compass in the rearview mirror every time I drive the car, but it seems to default to the "on" position whenever I start the car.

In the manual on page 3-23 it states
"The Compass can be turned ON and
OFF and will remember the last state
when the ignition is cycled"

Can anyone report whether their compass remembers the last state?


I saw a post online in one the genesis coupe forums about someone with the same problem, which was attributed to wiring error.

I have the same issue. Compass always comes on even when it is off when I shut down the car.

I was wondering when someone would ask the same thing. Is the compass just a small digital display in the mirror as in other cars? Is it that distracting?

I don't use the compass and it is distracting. Would prefer to have it off.
