I had a Compustar CS4900 system installed 2 days ago in my 2015 3.8, and I've noticed intermittent strange behavior. Since the problems are intermittent, before I return to the dealer I would appreciate forum feedback if any aspect of the following sounds familiar so I know it's not just in my head or my own goblins. Note that sometimes the issues depended on whether I used the Compustar remote or the Lock-Lock-Lock code on the OEM remote. Unfortunately I couldn't keep up with all the variability so for the purposes of this list I've mostly lumped them all together:
1- Yesterday I noticed that the driver's airbag warning light was constantly red all day. By this evening this was no longer the case; it remained Off after the car started. Nor did I remember seeing the problem on the first day of installation.
2- Several times the remotely started car would turn itself off right after I stepped on the brake (while in Park). Most of the time stepping on the brake in Park resulted in what I think is the normal "taking over" behavior. In my case this meant just turning on the Navigation-AV display. I THINK this issue depended on whether I unlocked the car door by pressing the door handle or via the OEM fob. I'm not sure if it also happened if I used the Compustar fob to open the door.
3- Usually (and annoyingly) I would have to squeeze into the seat which had moved all the way forward to the steering column, but a couple of times it seemed like the seat had remained pulled back.
I know I'm forgetting some other weirdness, but these are the most important. Thank you in advance for any comments.
