  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

how do people get the concierge service where they come and pick up your car.. i don't have a number to call and when it works it's good, but it's hard to get it setup?

I usually call the dealer then get transferred a few times then I am told come bring it in and then i have to explain what this service is,which was a big reason why I switched from lexus, and then finally they get it but it usually takes a few days.

I call the guy who sold me the car. I know there is a high turnover among salespeople at many dealers but I have been lucky the salesman is still at the dealer two and a half years later. He told me if I brake down 2,000 mile from home to call him and he would arrange a loaner and service. Hopefully that will never happen. He is always the one who picks up the car and brings the loaner mostly for routine service and minor repairs.

Is this through certain dealers or is a Huyndai deal ?

It applies to the Equus. It is a Hyundai thing but apparently some dealers are resisting. The first couple of years through the 2013 model receive concierge service for five years. Starting in 2014 I believe it is for three years only. This includes oil changes and warranty work. Newer models still have the same warranty but have to bring the car in and sit and wait or drop the car off after three years.

my dealer must be one of the ones resisting because it's difficult to use the service, which is quite dissappointing because that was one of the major reasons I bought the car. I have a 3 year lease so the shortened term didn't matter to me.

Everytime I try to use the service it's very difficult to get anything scheduled to the point I have given up many of the times.

The entire "Equus Experience" has been a marketing flop...maybe this is why they're can't sell the car...as they are now giving more than $15,000 off on '2014's...basically you're treated the same way as a Sonata owner...
as much as Hyundai markets and run's ads , it's all up to the dealers to perform...I've had several poor experiences with my 2104...even went as far to call the Equus Hot Line...they take your info and do nothing...and tell you Dealers are all privately owned and Corp has no control...mind you I like the car, but pray nothing goes wrong, parts take weeks to get in stock...

I have nothing but stellar service and treatment from my Equus dealer. I just picked up my second Equus, a 2015 Signature. I love the car and the service!

I guess your first Equus was dirty so you had to get a new one?

interestingly along those lines, mine required repair that took a few weeks to fix as well and they let me borrow the loaner equus and the loaner genesis, now by having that and some other time off i will never get close to my miles on my lease so i have that going for me.

Yes, Mark, it was covered with pollen. Actually, I had it for three years and loved it! Looks like I shall love the 2015 equally.
I am down to about 6K miles per year, so after 3 years my car would barely be broken in.

No issue I call the dealer's service department and set-up an appointment. Sometimes a 2-3 day wait which I don't feel is un acceptable or annoying.

Yes I now have an Equus 2015.

In reading the replies. It sounds like it can vary from dealer to dealer.

The dealership I used bent over backwards to treat me as promised as an Equus owner. They picked up my car from my work and left me with another. When my car was returned there was a cold bottle of water in the cup holder with a little ribboned bag with some mints too. My husband joked he liked Hershey bars with almonds and next time they left a whole box of 'em. One Equus I received on Valentine's day had a dozen red roses in it! (My husband said well I got you the vase!)

Glad to see its just not me who has to wait...but this is unacceptable if they want to retain high end customers. Personally, I have one foot on a banana peal and the other is out the door due to this lack of attention. I'm mad at the moment however since I have several calls into my two local dealerships and cant even get a timely return call and the AC system shut down completely on me and its hot as all heck here!
