  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have not had an active connected care account for several years for my G70. Got an email several days ago stating my account was ‘auto-renewing’ with the card on file. Logged into my account and could not find a card on file or anywhere about a ‘auto-renewal’. Just said no active services presently. Checked my CC and saw 3 pending charges total $297. I called connected care and ask WTF? Genesis did not have a good excuse how an inactive account suddenly attempted to renew itself, but she did say I had a CC on file and the system is set up to automatically ‘auto-renew’ from the last time I subscribed. I asked how an inactive account can suddenly start trying to auto-renew and Genesis could not answer. Genesis removed my CC from their system and said they saw no pending charges even though I saw them on my CC website so I’m still watching if the charges go active or not? This is just a buyer beware sort of posting so you don’t start seeing auto-renewals you did not know about.

Thanks for the heads up.

Because of things like this along with credit card fraud, I’ve made it a habit, whenever possible, to not store my cc info with a merchant.
