  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I don't remember allowing access to my calendar but I'm seeing my schedule notifications through the Genesis app.
Is there a way to stop this?

It would help if you told us iPhone or Android
Android go to app permissions and uncheck calendar
iPhone I have no idea

I happen to like it accessing my calendar. When I put the appointment address in my calendar it automatically pops up in the Genesis app and then it’s a snap to download it to my car. No need to manually renter it to get it to my car.

it would be nice to have the option to disable. I find the in-dash navigation app to be worse than useless. It's guaranteed to get me lost. I just use Google Maps after one too many chances given to the in-car nav. The calendar notifications are intrusive and annoying. No way to stop them that I can tell. I have unchecked in App permissions. It doesn't seem to notice or care.

Did you try turning off notifications in the app. I think there is a setting there

it asks for permission when you first install the app, annoying as hell I had to disable it. don't need 4 different calendar apps reminding me about crap.

I wouldn't mind it but it holds onto deleted/rescheduled appointments at their original time.

Yes I have found that to be the case for the last three years. It seems to be only a problem with recurring appointments or ones that have invites. It reads those appointments once and never makes corrections.
I tried logging a case a while ago but they had no idea what I was talking about. I would encourage you to log a case yourself if you think you can get them to see the problem.

I had not noticed that it was only the appointments that I included invitees, but now that you mention it, that is definitely the issue.
