  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

JD Power CSI Rankings

Not sure if this had been previously posted.

Despite Hyundai not being known for its great service, it's interesting to note that Hyundai did rate above average int JDP's CSI rankings - and above all the major Japanese mainstream brands for service, repair work, etc.

The study, now in its 29th year, examines satisfaction among vehicle owners who visit a service department for maintenance or repair work. The CSI rankings are based on dealer performance during the first three years of ownership, which typically represent the majority of the vehicle warranty period. Five measures are examined to determine overall customer satisfaction with dealer service (listed in order of importance): service quality; service initiation; service advisor; service facility; and vehicle pickup.

This is what I try to tell people when they complain about Hyundai service/dealerships. Are they luxury car level? No, not even close. Are they as good overall than their mainstream Asian competition? Yup.

Not saying that their isn't room for improvement, just saying that there are those on here who would have you believe that all Hyundai dealers are crappy which does not seem to be the case.

Wow look at Saturn! and GM cut em, ouch goes to show what GM really cares about.

It's interesting to see Toyota way down below Ford and Chrysler. They are really slipping. Bye bye Toyota: Hyundai is the car company of the future.
