  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I see appearance and performance mods for our Genesis cars listed on this forum, but what emergency and convenience "mods" have you made? Also, what emergency and convenience items do you keep in your car? I'm looking for things I can do to my car to make it better.

Mods:
Extension cable for a battery maintainer that runs from the jumper cable terminals to just left of the driver windshield wiper
Thinkware U1000 dashcam
Genesis all-weather floor mats
Motorola MA1 android auto wireless adapter

Items I keep in my trunk:
Jump battery
First aid kit
Tire pump
Standard auto emergency kit

I haven't installed any items that I'd consider to be luxury items.

A jump starter and first aid kit aren't necessarily "mods". That might be why you don't see threads about it. With that logic, wearing a coat on a warm day could be considered a "mod".

And having a plug for a battery maintainer is common practice in some northern places.

If I had to add a mod to this list, I'd say snow tires in the winter.

Yeah, you're right. I'll reword my post. If the forum will let me. Thanks.

Well, it won't let me edit it now that it has replies. Oh, well.

I have a front and back dash cam. I ran it under all of the paneling so no wires are exposed. And I ran it to a fuse tap with the fuse for the cigarette lighter. So now it's basically hardwired and turns on and off with the key
