  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just was wondering because I don't actually read through my whole owners manual to find out for myself:o. I know on my old 2005 Honda Odyssey Touring with my keyfob I can hold the lock button down for a few seconds and all my windows will go down. Also you can stick the key in the driver side door and turn and hold left and all the windows will go back up. Does anyone know some cool features you can do with your keyfob on the Genesis? Or inside the vehicle for that matter that some of us might not have known;).

Neither of those features you mentioned work on the Genesis. Those things should certainly be considered for future models.

You must be like my brother-in-law who believes "when all else fails, read the owners manual".

Push in traction control. The. Press and hold that button again.

The Honda hold-fob-unlock to roll down all the windows is patented, which is why you don't see it on other makes. As a former owner of a pair of Florida Hondas, I can tell you that I too miss this feature.

For the Genesis, there's been a whole bunch of nifty stuff posted in this thread over the years:

I guess Lincoln didn't know that because my Lincolns had this feature. I guess BMW was unaware of it too, as my daughter's BMW did this too.

Maybe they licensed it ... or the patent expired? ...or I'm just old with a crappy memory. <shrug>

Yes, it could be any of those.

No one patented that, my '14 Infiniti Q50 and my '12 Maxima had that feature of holding down the lock door button on the key fob to lower all windows and open the sun roof. I know both are Nissans.
