  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I recently test drove a Tau Genesis sedan with Tech package and the salesman made a point that his dealership included every other maintenance free when you did maintenance at their dealership.

For those of you that have had the car for a while could you share what the maintenance intervals are and what you have paid for each maintenance.

Thanks.

I have had mine for just under two years (two years the end of this month). I have had four oil changes at the dealer where I bought the car (noone else has the filter). The first one was free (part of the deal to every buyer of any car). The second one was free because they did two TSBs which kept me waiting for several hours. I paid $29.95 for each of the next two.

The 20k (30k km in Canada) interval services include a Brake Service which involves cleaning and lubricating all the calipers. It also changes air filter as well as the usual Oil Lube Filter etc. That runs about $250 due to the higher labour content. I'm at nearly 44k miles now and I find the Dealer service costs to be most reasonable and downright inexpensive when compared to BMW or Mercedes.

That Brake Service, cleaning and lubricating all the calipers is not mentioned in my owners manual, however remembering what it was like driving in all the road salt up North, that may be a good idea. When I take my car in for service, I supply my own Full Synthetic Oil, only buying the factory oil filter and the dealers labor. Costs me less than $20, not counting my own Full Synthetic oil. When I only do things that are called for in the owners manual, it is very cheap. If I do additional things, then it costs more, but still much less than other cars. Some dealers will always try to talk you into doing additional things that are not called for, but make big money for them.
My dealer, who treats me like a king does not do that.

My dealer has been GREAT!.
I have 30K miles on my car, 5 oil changes 4 tire rotations, full service check up and a screw taken out of one tire. A grand total of $0

I could not be happier with my dealer and service team.

My dealer keeps trying to push the 15k and 30k mile service packages. They want about $250 for the 15k service and $400 for the 30k. Looking at what is included, I don't understand why people would pay for that.
